The Southern Cross is a beautiful classic sailboat that dates back to 1962 and was built by the order of the English Royal Family. Its manufacture with exclusive materials and designs earned it the title of best ketch the same year of its construction.

During this time, it has been owned by such outstanding figures as Frank Sinatra, and is currently in Barcelona for luxury event rental. We are proud to have the Southern Cross as part of our fleet; this delight of sailing is a luxury you don’t want to miss.

The Southern Cross has 35 meters in length and the 7-meter beam and is one of the largest sailboats that are currently for rent in Barcelona. It has three covers. On the main deck, there are two dining rooms for 10 and 14 people, as well as a large interior room, a summer room and the bar area. On the upper deck, there is a large solarium area. The lower deck has all the cabins, the kitchen, as well as the engine room.

It is decorated with noble woods and with the classic English design and touch that gives it so much character. The Southern Cross has a max capacity for 65 guests under sail/motor and up to 80 for an in-port event, which makes it the ideal setting for celebrations of large groups, companies or private functions.

Renting a boat with these characteristics is not as difficult as it seems. Gotland Charter puts it at your fingertips. With most rentals ranging from 2 hours to a maximum of 8, either under navigation or in port, or why not a combination. Our most sought-after charter is 2 hours at sea (under navigation) and 2 hours in the port (time that is usually used for lunch or to enjoy a dinner accompanied by beautiful views of the city from the port).
