Why visit Barcelona?

It is no surprise to hear that Barcelona is considered one of the best cities in the world and one of the most emblematic tourist destinations, but…

What is it that makes Barcelona so special?

When you live, work, or move around Barcelona regularly, you are not aware of the attractiveness of the city and the passion it arouses; it is only when you take a step back and view it from a distance that you can see all the charms that it has and everything that makes it the perfect destination for a vacation.

It is a city with such a variety of services that it adapts to everyone’s tastes and is capable of conquering any heart. This is possibly its greatest quality: the diversity of its offer.

Sea, mountain, and streets; it has it all!

What first stands out, as soon as you step outside, is its Mediterranean climate, sun, and pleasant temperatures throughout the year, which encourage you to move around the whole city. Another detail that differentiates the Catalan capital from other cities is the variety of the landscape. Barcelona is an ideal size that allows you to sunbathe on the beach in the morning and walk in the mountains in the evening; above all, though, Barcelona has many streets of all kinds to walk along. It has more than 100 natural spaces and incredible journeys through time, going from the antiquity of the old town, to the more futuristic architecture of the Torre Agbar, for example.

If you love culture, you will love Barcelona

Barcelona and Gaudí go hand in hand: La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Park Güell… Modernism and architecture on every corner make the city a great museum well worth visiting.

And what about the gothic quarter? This is one of my favorites, the tiny streets and alleys that border and lead to the cathedral, the oldest part of the city and possibly the most beautiful.

The cultural offer is endless: theatres, music, literature, exhibitions, and festivals, which, together with the multiculturalism of the people of Barcelona, provide a uniquely rich mix.

And let’s not forget the gastronomy: the typical pa amb tomàquet, the mongetes amb botifarra, or an improvised paella on a terrace, will delight anyone. A city to make your mouth water!

Have we convinced you?

I could go on talking about everything that awaits you in this incredible city, about the things you are going to learn, what you are going to be able to do and the wonderful memories that you are going to take away with you, but what there is no doubt about is that Barcelona is a perfect city for sightseeing: a modern city, perfectly connected to the world by land, sea, and air.

The long beaches that crown the coastline of the city and the wide range of maritime activities top it all off, something that we know perfectly well from our experience of more than 20 years in offering tourists pleasant walks and different types of maritime tours.

If you choose it, you will not regret it.
